I hope everyone has a great New year and a safe and happy New Years Eve!

I usually don't do book reviews or the such but this deserves to be blogged about. I absolutely love the Laurell K. Hamilton series Anita Blake Vampire Hunter so when the comic was announced I was excited to see how the book was going to turn into a visual comic.
The art is amazing and the characters look great in the comic. I have the first 2 issues of the comic and can't wait for the next on slated to be released in December and then the 4th issue will be released in January. If you are a fan of Laurell K. Hamilton or even of Anita Blake or even if you are looking for a good comic read with vampires, ware animals or the like then check out the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Comic Series.

Jack, a 15-pound orange and white cat, keeps a close vigil on his property, often chasing small animals, but his owners and neighbors say his latest escapade was surprising.
After about 15 minutes, the bear descended and tried to run away, but Jack chased it up another tree.
The owners feared for the cat, then called Jack home and the bear scurried back to the woods.
"He doesn't want anybody in his yard," Dickey said.
Bear sightings are not unusual in West Milford, which experts consider one of the state's most bear-populated areas.

In Lexington, Kentucky they are building a Pet Suites, Resort and Spa. I find this so cute, being as I own a toy poodle and she believes that she a princess. (Oh ok, so we treat her like a princess!) Also in Lexington, Kentucky there is a Pet Supermarket which is apparently a new store as they haven't got everything set up yet but they have a wide selection of treats and toys for your pet.
They also sell birds, rabbitts and other animals.
In addition to Petsmart these stores will pamper the pets of Lexington and surrounding areas. Hopefully the Spa will be open before we move and my little Jazzy will get to go there. What a princess wants a princess gets. LOL

In London it appears that a monster rabbit is reeking havic on the villagers in northeast England. "It is a massive thing. It is a monster. The first time I saw it, I said: 'What the hell is that?'" the Northumberland Gazette newspaper quoted local resident Jeff Smith, 63, as saying on its website (www.northumberlandtoday.co.uk).
The fans of Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series will be looking forward to the pending release of the new Anita Blake Comic Book. In a press release from Dabel Brothers Productions they state: "Dabel Brothers Productions ("DB Pro") announced today that they have just signed a deal with New York Times Bestselling author Laurell K. Hamilton to obtain the exclusive rights to adapt the popular multi-million selling Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter novels into a monthly comic book series. The deal was negotiated by Hamilton's agent, Merrilee Heifetz of Writers House, LLC."
Art and the full press release can be found here http://www.dabelbrothers.com/home.html and you can also visit Laurell K. Hamilton's website at http://laurellkhamilton.org/ . I'm personally a big fan of this series and am looking forward to both the comic book series as well as the new books that are going to be released this year.

I love to play poker and over the weekend me, my husband and some friends were playing poker when my poodle decided she wanted to get into the game. LOL A few times she growled at the cards and that's when we knew it was time to fold. My poodle is deffinately my precious little girl and even a mean poker player if I do say so myself. LOL
