Irony
Caitlin, 14, made it to the ninth round of the first prime-time network broadcast of the Scripps National Spelling Bee earlier this month in Washington. She left the competition when she misspelled the word collyrium, a term for eye lotion.

Cat chases Black Bear up a Tree

A black bear picked the wrong yard for a jaunt, running into a territorial tabby who ran the furry beast up a tree — twice.
Jack, a 15-pound orange and white cat, keeps a close vigil on his property, often chasing small animals, but his owners and neighbors say his latest escapade was surprising.
After about 15 minutes, the bear descended and tried to run away, but Jack chased it up another tree.
The owners feared for the cat, then called Jack home and the bear scurried back to the woods.
"He doesn't want anybody in his yard," Dickey said.
Bear sightings are not unusual in West Milford, which experts consider one of the state's most bear-populated areas.

Anita Blake Comic Book Update

The first book in the series, ANITA BLAKE: VAMPIRE HUNTER in GUILTY PLEASURES, will hit shelves in June, 2006, featuring amazing art by a soon-to-be-announced illustrator and a faithful script adaptation by Stacie M. Ritchie that will have fans of the novels savoring the first chapter in Anita Blake's adventures once again. The adaptation will also be published in two graphic novel volumes, available respectively by January and July, 2007.
"I'm thrilled to be bringing Anita to a new medium," said Laurell K. Hamilton, the author of the series. "The Dabel's artwork and attention to detail are what made me say yes to them. With what I have seen so far, I am as excited as any fan to see what comes next!" ANITA BLAKE: VAMPIRE HUNTER in GUILTY PLEASURES will arrive at comic book retailers and book stores in North America in July, 2006. It will be distributed by Diamond Distributors, INC and featured in the May issue of the Previews catalog. A graphic novel edition collecting the first half of the story will launch by January, 2007. WWW BACKLASH in Lexington Kentucky
Tripple H did quite a few DX chops after the match was over and Shawn Michaels reverted back to DX days when he had the Lexington crowd scream "Suck It" at Vince and Shane before the match. There were many interesting signs in the crowd and a few even got taken by the security at the event. Hope everyone that went had a great time! I know I sure did.

Pampered Pets

In Lexington, Kentucky they are building a Pet Suites, Resort and Spa. I find this so cute, being as I own a toy poodle and she believes that she a princess. (Oh ok, so we treat her like a princess!) Also in Lexington, Kentucky there is a Pet Supermarket which is apparently a new store as they haven't got everything set up yet but they have a wide selection of treats and toys for your pet.
They also sell birds, rabbitts and other animals.
In addition to Petsmart these stores will pamper the pets of Lexington and surrounding areas. Hopefully the Spa will be open before we move and my little Jazzy will get to go there. What a princess wants a princess gets. LOL

Monster Rabbit
In London it appears that a monster rabbit is reeking havic on the villagers in northeast England. "It is a massive thing. It is a monster. The first time I saw it, I said: 'What the hell is that?'" the Northumberland Gazette newspaper quoted local resident Jeff Smith, 63, as saying on its website (www.northumberlandtoday.co.uk).The Continental Giant breed of rabbit can grow to a size of 26 inches. I found the story on Yahoo.com and found it to be quite interesting and amazing that rabbit's can grow to such sizes.

Lady and The Tramp

Disney's Lady and The Tramp was re-released on February 28th for the 50th Anniversary of the movie. I absolutely love this movie and believe it to be one of the greatest movies Disney has done. Then again I just love the movie so I am a little bias when it comes to Lady and The Tramp.
"Walt Disney's beloved classic, filled with memorable music and purebred fun, now shines like never before with an all-new digital restoration! Embark on a thrilling adventure with the most unforgettable characters: Lady, Tramp, Jock and Trusty, and Si and Am. Unleash all the fun and excitement in this 2-Disc 50th Anniversary Edition, including deleted scenes, 5.1 Disney Enhanced Home Theater Mix, all-new games, making-of secrets and much more! English, French and Spanish language tracks. " http:///disneyshopping.go.com

Poker Poodle
I love to play poker and over the weekend me, my husband and some friends were playing poker when my poodle decided she wanted to get into the game. LOL A few times she growled at the cards and that's when we knew it was time to fold. My poodle is deffinately my precious little girl and even a mean poker player if I do say so myself. LOL^ What a poker face. Here's hoping everyone had a great weekend and best wishes for a good week.

Snow

The snow is falling again and the only thing I like about it is the possibility of getting out of class tomorrow. I think even in college everyone should be awarded a few snow days every once in a while. Other than that purpose I do not care for the snow. Being a walking accident, I don't care much for things that increase my risk of falling and hurting myself. Snow can be pretty to look at but other than hopefully getting me out of school I don't care much. Snow is pretty on Christmas Eve and even Christmas Day but after that I pretty much lose interest in the stuff.
I hope everyone is staying warm and safe during the winter months.

Disney Cruise

Just recently got back from a cruise in the Caribbean and I couldn't have had a better time. It was a four day cruise on the Disney Wonder and it was great. I would reccomend this trip to anyone who is looking into a cruise. The decks of the ship were easy to navigate and there was always something to do. From Disney character greetings and pictures, to pools for children, families and adults to deck parties and dinners there was always something to do.
That is quite the compliment coming from me since I had no desire to be on a ship in the middle of the ocean. I was always afraid of a Titanic issue, but I have to admit that I didn't think much about it. It was like a floating hotel and you never realized that it was moving until you looked outside. But now it's back to school and snow. I left 80-90 degree weather for this??? What was I thinking.
